Bio:
The dashing young men of Toronto's The Coast are gearing up to release their debut full-length “Expatriate” via Afternoon Records digitally April 4 and physically May 5th.

Garnering attention north of the border, The Coast were buzzed about as an act to watch in 2008 by Exclaim! and Toronto’s Eye Weekly – a buzz that only continued to grow while touring all over the United States and Canada last year. Sharing the stage with the likes of Tokyo Police Club, The Dears, Sam Roberts and The French Kicks, The Coast have been building up quite the resume, and their long awaited full-length record just adds to it.

To a band whose music has become so central to their lives that there's really no separation between a normal social life and band life, The Coast emerges on the scene as a band with a sound that is truly their own. In the winter of 2007, The Coast hunkered down in Toronto and created an album that departed from the layered epics of their first EP, and instead harnessed the off-the-floor energy of their live show and let their signature guitar hooks stand out on their own.

Now, The Coast join the happy family of Afternoon Records and will be spending the majority of 2009 in the van and on tour in North America and Europe.
