We go away. We leave our masks in our cars and clothes, folders of forever changing. We go to the woods to be made new, to remember what we cant quite ever vocalize. But we scratch at the memory, and in quiet ritual allow what needs to emerge.

These songs were made in 10 days, from birth to commitment, silverization on drives. The music was facilitated by the hands and hearts of Bill Caperton and Mike Gunnerson, in the silence of a cabin surrounded by century old white pine trees. With no fore-thought, the songs came to pass, in expediency, urgently, with no mind to editing, only an opening of the gate, a sluiceway trying to cut straight to the core of the dream. We read poems, we stole poems, we recorded the wind through the leaves, we cast coins in place of bones, we worked through the day and at night, but later in darkness the material worked on us. Ghost echoes captured for at least the brevity of this listening you are doing now. That is to say, we changed our method. We traded the slog of methodical composition and revision for the powder keg of association, as a way to change our selves, to become new.
