Bio:
Tarlton is Brett Bullion. At age 17, he formed a band called Tiki Obmar and released several records on the Miami-based electronic label Merck Records. Through Tiki Obmar, Brett became immersed in the Minneapolis music scene, billing and collaborating with artists such as Martin Dosh (Anticon, drummer for Andrew Bird), Happy Apple (Universal France, The Bad Plus), The Fog (Lex, Ninja Tune), Cepia (Ghostly International) and many others. Aside from Tiki Obmar, Brett performed as a live and studio drummer in various bands such as Ben Weaver (Bloodshot Records), Heiruspecs (Razor and Tie), and The Few Nice Words (with members of 12Rods, Love-Cars, and Halloween, Alaska).

After moving from a rehearsal studio nestled aside the Port of Seattle, Brett has returned to his hometown of Minneapolis to put the finishing touches on his EP "Papa Theses" out this spring, with a follow up full-length in the fall. Parts and melodies are triggered on the fly alongside live drums, which are prepared, processed, or otherwise modified to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the gear.

Tarlton is the culmination of all these experiences: an ongoing experiment that attempts to bring together the live drummer and the live producer in the studio and on stage.
